Since its founding in 1973 the St John Historical Society has relied on the financial support of individuals to advance the society’s mission of promoting an appreciation and deeper understanding of the history and cultural heritage of the island of St. John in the U. S. Virgin Islands.

The St. John Historical Society is a registered, non-profit, 501(3)(c) organization, which means that all donations may be treated as a tax deductible charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes. The Society will provide a written receipt for tax purposes for all donations.

Memberships:
Membership in the SJHS is open to all individuals who support the purposes and objectives of the Society. Benefits of membership include a subscription to the Society’s newsletter, Five Quarters, as well as participation in all of the group’s regularly-scheduled events and activities.

Membership categories and annual dues:

Student............Free
Individual.........$20
Annual memberships become due on January 1.

Newsletter Subscriptions:
Digital newsletter subscriptions are free to all members. Please note that as of January 2012, the Society’s outstanding newsletter, Five Quarters, is now delivered to your in-box as a downloadable (saveable and printable), full-color pdf file. If you are not already receiving a digital newsletter be sure to go to the web site home page and sign up. It’s quick and easy!
